This velvety, warm burgundy ball dahlia with her 3” blooms is a stunner. With strong long lateral stems she stands 4” tall. She is a prolific bloomer and great tuber producer. Great to put in market bouquets and those fall colorful weddings. Was originally sold with no name, now she’s Burgundy Ball.

Care Instructions

Dahlias love sun. Place root on its side about 6″ inches deep in loose soil that is well drained. If you have gravely or very sandy soil you might want to mix in some compost with the sandy soil. Allow for 12″ spacing between plants. Use 5-10-10 fertilizer a few times after the plant is a foot tall. Water once weekly. Remove dead head flowers to encourage blooming. Blooms from August until frost.

Bulbs need to be dug up for the winter. Store in a dry, dark 40-45 degree location.
