Daisy Duke is a luscious coral decorative dahlia.   She is  a sunset coral that radiates peach, coral and center is touched with lavender.  Her mid size makes her easy to mix into bouquets. She sometimes blooms as a single for us.  Which just as beautiful and a bit more unique. Due to her short stature is is great in the garden.  If you put her in a high tunnel  with a shade cover  she’s has about 4 foot stems. One of Nicole’s favorites.

Care Instructions:

Dahlias love sun. Place root on its side about 6″ inches deep in loose soil that is well drained. If you have gravely or very sandy soil you might want to mix in some compost with the sandy soil. Allow for 12″ spacing between plants. Use 5-10-10 fertilizer a few times after the plant is a foot tall. Water once weekly. Remove dead head flowers to encourage blooming. Blooms from August until frost.

Bulbs need to be dug up for the winter. Store in a dry, dark 40-45 degree location.
