Shoshanna and Travis had a quintessential Vermont wedding. They were married at the Ira Allen Chapel on the UVM Campus in mid-June.
Cheerful, enormous Vermont-grown pink peonies were loaded into every arrangement along with “Free Spirit” rose, white stock, and dusty miller.
Arriving at the church in a horse-drawn carriage...could it get more romantic? After the ceremony, the couple enjoyed their new married status on a romantic carriage ride to the Burlington Country Club.
But it wasn’t too serious: next up the whole wedding party drove around the scenic club in golf carts, having a blast posing for Todd Stoilov Photography.
Finally they enjoyed the company of friends and family at the reception. Gretel-Ann Fischer’s cake looked like heaven and I have no doubt it tasted even better. Keeping in the Vermont sensibility, a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream cart accompanied the glamorous cake.
I really enjoyed watching a wonderful Vermont couple embracing the things that make this state such a unique, wonderful place to live and celebrating that heritage on their wedding day. Shona and Travis I know you will have a wonderful life together!
Just look at those gorgeous pink (almost lilac) peonies combined with the soft orange and white blooms! The total effect is lovely!
