Late summer is here and the flowers are at their brightest colors. Deep pinks, magenta, bright orange, school bus yellow and fire engine red.
Finally, a good crop of Pairie Sun Rudbecka, the yellow flower with the green eye. This is the third year I have grown it, and the first time I have been able to pick buckets of it!
I absolutely love all the bold blooms of the structured flowers this time of year. These crested celosias always amaze me, such a fun flower!
Our marigolds and zinnia are blooming non-stop. Great news for us: we will need as many as possible for this weekend’s weddings.
My favorites this time of year are the fuzzy sunflowers. Giant Sungold…they are so welcoming that all my customers at the farmer’s markets want to pet them.
This arrangement was so fun to create from all our bold bright farm flowers.
