Heather and Maury’s wedding reminded me why I moved to Vermont–to get away from it all. I drove one and a half hours through rural Vermont woodlands, farmlands, pastures, and wildflower fields to reach their venue.. This area of Vermont is known as the Northeast Kingdom. It is the least populated, most secretly beautiful region of the state.
Time slows down in the Kingdom. I chased miles of collapsing barns and fluffy clouds before reaching the crest of a hill overlooking a magnificent estate.
The large barns and surrounding Inn are breath-taking. This picture is just a slice of the venue. The views are unearthly.
The ceremony site is stunning.
Heather and Maury wanted to stay true to their location and keep a simple, Vermont theme. We placed welcoming sunflowers and purple blossoms in natural, birch bark vessels.
What could be more true to Vermont summer then Sunflowers with purple Lisianthus?
The day was perfect, everyone was very relaxed and happy. What a perfect wedding. Congratulations to Heather and Maury.
